THE SUN

The frame of life is pretty clear:
We have X amount of years ahead inside our skin
We are on the leash of the daily cycle - sometimes dragged
But time behaves as it wants

We are breathing parts of the big rhythm
Is it possible to waste time?
My answer changes every time.

After I met you – enjoying life and being lazy –
my theory about the good use of time has been challenged.

Now it’s 6 minutes before 6 in the morning.
The sun won’t take a stand.
How does it feel to wake up to a new day?

It’s impossible to sleep.
The sun takes care of that.
But the sunbeams aren’t strong enough
to raise my mood together with the sun.
One has to make peace with the day
already during the night.

I have been handed new days in different ways,
in different circumstances..
I have said good morning
to different people in different states of mind.

I have woke up with the warmth of another person on my skin.
I have stood up in panic
I have been like a puppy, full of enthusiasm in the morning.
I have stayed in bed, my whole body in plaster.

After the night ends, before the morning starts,
is the dearest moment of my day.
It’s free of demands.
My entire freedom is contained in that moment..

The sun rises every morning, whether I am ready or not.
The sun can´t be controlled, and curtains won’t help.
